PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A motorcycle accident on Friday landed one man in the hospital.
Police say that around 4:05 p.m. Friday, Central Village Fire Department and American Legion Ambulance responded to a 911 report of a motorcycle crash with injuries.
It was reported that Walter S. Oakes of Coventry, R.I. was riding southbound on Putnam Road, with a friend, James Case of West Greenwich, R.I. Case said that then went around a curve and he heard Oakes go down to the ground.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Route 12 and East Shepard Hill Road, in the Central Village section of town.
Officials say that Oakes was originally unresponsive, but then he started to get comative with the paramedics.
Oakes would not specify where he was hurt, but he was transported to William Backus Hospital for an evaculation. He was then flown to Hartford Hospital due to the extent of his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
