Motorcyclist killed in Shelton crash

SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Shelton Tuesday.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m., on Route 110, also known as River Road.

Police said they received several reports of a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in the area of Riverdale Diner.

The 24-year-old man was taken to Bridgeport Hospital Trauma Center where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim's name has not yet been released.

Police are investigating the accident.

Route 110 is currently reduced to one lane in the area.
