One dead following accident on I-95

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- One person has died in an early Saturday morning motor vehicle accident on I-95 north, police say.

A motorcycle driven by Diego Bermudez-Garvia, 27, collided with the trailer unit of a truck just north of exit 18 on I-95 north.

Bermudez-Garcia sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

I-95 northbound was closed between exits 17 and 18 for a time while the accident was being cleared.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
