One found dead in overturned SUV

MONROE, Conn. (WTNH) -- One person was found dead inside an overturned SUV in Monroe Monday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m., police received a call from a CL&P employee reporting a vehicle off the road on Route 111 at Route 110.

The CL&P worker told police he had slowed down to inspect a pole on Route 111 following Saturday's storm and spotted an overturned SUV down the embankment.

When emergency personnel responded to the scene, they found the driver deceased in the vehicle.

There were no passengers.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

It hasn't been determined how long the vehicle has been in the woods for.

The incident remains under investigation.
