REDDING, Conn. (WTNH) -- One person has died following a 3-car motor vehicle accident on Route 7 this past Friday.
The driver of a vehicle who was hit head on by another vehicle on Route 7 was pronounced dead at Danbury Hospital Saturday morning.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday, a vehicle was heading southbound on Route 7, when a vehicle that was traveling northbound crossed into the other lane. The two vehicles then collided head-on.
The victim of the crash had originally been extricated from her vehicle after the accident and was rushed to Danbury Hospital for serious injuries.
Two occupants in the north-traveling vehicle were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A third vehicle was involved in the accident, but the operator in that vehicle was not juried.
The crash remains under investigation.
