Overturned cars on Route 8, Route 2

Traffic on Route 8 in Naugatuck and Route 2 in Colchester was hampered by overturned vehicles Thursday morning.
In Naugatuck, a vehicle flipped over between Exits 29 and 30 northbound. The crash happened a little before 6:00 a/m/ The road was briefly closed, but one lane of travel was opened relatively quickly.
ConnDOT traffic cam pictures showed the overturned vehicle and damage to the guardrail. That vehicle was hauled away and the road was reopened a little before 7:00 a.m.
In Colchester, Route 2 East was closed near Exit 16 because of an overturned vehicle. No other details were available on what happened there.
