WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) -- A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after he crashed into a Toyota Camry.
Officials responded to the first report of the crash at 11:10 a.m. Thursday morning.
Initial findings indicate the Kawasaki motorcycle struck the Toyota Camry that was turning east from West Main Street onto the Route 6 by-pass.
After the collision, the motorcyclist slid under the car, and had to be extricated by officers. The rider was transported to Windham Hospital and then taken to Hartford Hospital.
Route 32/West Main Street in Willimantic was closed down for several after the crash. As of 2:30 p.m., only a part of the road has been reopened.
The names of the people involved in the crash have not been released.
