Parkway accident leaves four injured

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A motor vehicle accident on the Wilbur Cross Parkway Saturday afternoon sent three people to the hospital, police say.

Police said that the accident happened around 3 p.m. Saturday just south of exit 64 on the northbound section of the Parkway.

Four people were treated on scene and three were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Two motor vehicles were involved and they suffered heavy damage.

A section of the Parkway was closed for about 30 minutes.

There was no word on the cause of the accident.
