Pedestrian struck and killed in Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Stratford Saturday.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m., on Barnum Ave.

According to police, the pedestrian, 44-year-old Todd Yezbick, of Shelton, was struck by a 1999 Grand Voyager while crossing the street.

Police said it appears that Yezbick was walking north on Barnum Ave., and the vehicle was traveling east.

Yezbick was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
