Pedestrian struck by bus in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 57-year-old woman was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Greenwich on Monday.

Police say that the woman was crossing Glenville Road in the area of the Lake Avenue. circle when she was struck by a bus.

The woman was transported to Stamford Hospital, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment. There was no word on the extent of the injuries.

News 8 has learned that the bus was from a local private school. None of the occupants on the bus were injured in the incident.

The injured woman's identity has not yet been released.
