MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- An elderly man who was getting something from the truck of his car was critically injured when he was hit by a car.
Edward Dymon, 75, was retrieving something from his car around 12:47 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The car was parked in front of a home at 138 Curtis Street in Meriden.
At the same time, a 2001 Audi was driving down the street and struck a blue Volkswagen parked behind Dymon's car. The white car was pushed forward in the impact and pinned Dymon between the two cars.
Dymon was transported to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries to his legs.
Officers say the Audi's driver, Eric Fournier, told them his car drifted into the parked cars when he was looking in his rear view mirror.
The incident remains under investigation.
Witnesses are asked to call Lt. Thomas Cossette at 203-630-6256.
