OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) -- A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Old Saybrook Friday night.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m., on Route 1, in the area of Main St.

The male victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

His name has not yet been released.

The incident remains under investigation.
