STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A small plane at Sikorsky was testing its brakes when it slid off the runway.
Officials say two people were on board. Neither were injured in the accident.
Officials told News 8's Tina Detelj the plane was doing high speed test runs and the brakes on one wheel caught fire. The pilot was able to extinguish the fire
According to the Connecticut Post , the plane was never in the air.
Firefighters from Stratford as well as Bridgeport were called to the scene.
