Police ID man killed in Willington crash

WILLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police have identified a Massachusetts man who was killed in a three-vehicle accident in Willington Saturday.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on I-84.

Police said a bus carrying 52 passengers, a truck towing a trailer, and a Mazda, were all traveling east on I-84, in the area of Exit 71 at the time of the accident.

According to police, the three vehicles collided and the driver of the truck, 47-year-old Illidio Decastro, of 323 South St., Marlborough, Mass., was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
