FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday afternoon in Farmington.
The accident occurred on Route 177 between Silversmith and West District Road.
According to police, 53-year-old Douglas Cox, of Farmington, was driving a 1989 Ford Taurus north on Route 177. He appears to have lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered road, sliding into the southbound lane where he collided with a home heating oil delivery truck driven by Kristian Kallenbach, of Bristol.
Cox died as a result of the crash.
Officials said neither Kallenbach nor his passenger were injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
