DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH)-- The American Red Cross is helping 12 people after two separate house fires happened this weekend in Danbury and New Haven.

A family of two adults and four children were given emergency housing, food and clothing needs after a fire broke out in their home on Scuppo Road, in Danbury, early Sunday morning.

The Red Cross provided the same things to six adults, in three families, after a fire broke out in their home at Ella Grasso Boulevard, in New Haven, on Saturday.

They were also given comfort kits with personal care items and the children received their own kits with toys.
