Road closed after truck struck pole

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- In addition to making repairs following Thursday night's storm, CL&P crews were called to Riverside Avenue in Westport after a truck struck a utility pole.
A delivery truck was pulling up to the sidewalk on the southbound side of Riverside Avenue around 7:15 a.m. when it struck the pole.
The pole snapped from the impact. The top part of the pole, as well as wires and a transformer fell down, blocking the road.
CL&P crews were called in to repair the pole and get the power back on.
Riverside Avenue was closed from Post Road West to Lincoln Street while crews were on the scene.
No injuries were reported.
