NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Route 1/Bank Street in New London is closed due to a water main break.

The road is closed at Lee Avenue.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation says it could take up to 6 hours, or around 5 p.m., for the road to reopen.
