1 critically injured in Route 2 crash

    COLCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) -- One person was critically injured after a one-vehicle crash on Route 2 in Colchester Tuesday morning.

    The accident occurred around 8 a.m.

    Officials said Roue Taha was traveling westbound on Route 2, near Exit 21 when Taha's vehicle went off the north shoulder of the road. The vehicle traveled approximately 60 feet before striking a tree on the driver's side door.

    Taha was taken to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar for treatment of critical injuries.

    Route 2 was closed for a short time following the crash.
