Route 6 reopens after more than eight hours

WOODBURY, Conn. (WTNH) - Route 6 in Woodbury was closed for over eight hours due to an overnight motor vehicle accident.

Police say that the accident occurred overnight when a vehicle slammed into a telephone pole. This caused a section of Route 6 to be closed for much of Sunday morning.

CL&P was on the scene and repaired the downed pole and the road has been reopened.
