Route 77 closed in Guilford

GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Route 77 in Guilford is closed after a tree fell onto a car.
No one was injured when the tree fell onto the car, but the car was severely damaged. Authorities say the tree struck a power line, but no outages were reported.
Both sides of Route 77 are closed in the 1400 block, which is just north of Bittner Park.
Police say the road is expected to be closed for several hours while firefighters and police officers are on the scene.
