Route 9 closed in Newington

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Route 9 north was closed in Newington this morning, according to the Department of Transportation.

DOT said Route 9 was closed between Exits 28 and 29 because of a vehicle fire.

There is no estimate as to how long the road will be shut down for.
