Serious accident shuts down Route 7

REDDING, Conn. (WTNH) -- Route 7 in Redding is re-open after a serious motor vehicle accident shut it down earlier this afternoon.

The Ridgefield Dispatch reported that Route 7 was going to be shut down between Route 102 and Route 35.

Officials told News 8 that the accident was in the vicinity of Days Inn and that two vehicles were involved.

Police confirmed that there were injuries, but additional information was not known.
