Serious motorcycle accident on Route 7

KENT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Route 7 southbound was closed Sunday afternoon in Kent due to a fatal motorcycle accident, police say.

Police said Mark Demarsico lost control of his motorcycle, was ejected and sustained serious injuries.

Demarsico was transported to St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

There is no further word on the cause of the accident.
