SUV crashes into home, 3 displaced

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) -- Three people were displaced after an SUV crashed into their home in Rocky Hill Tuesday.

Officials said around 7:30 p.m., a Dodge Durango hit the side of the garage and then became embedded inside the home.

Three people were in the home at the time of the accident, but all were able to get out safely.

Officials said the driver of the Durango had to be removed from the hatchback of the vehicle as they couldn't open the door.

The driver was taken to Hartford Hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

The home received moderate structural damage.
