Tractor trailer jackknife on I-95

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A tractor trailer accident occurred on I-95 southbound between exits 46 and 45 Saturday morning.

The accident was reported shortly before 4:00 a.m. Saturday.

Witnesses said that the tractor trailer jackknifed in the right lane near the Howard Avenue overpass and flipped over.

The following information was not confirmed, but one witness told News 8 that the driver of the truck was cited for an illegal lane change.

Police did confirm that there were no major injuries with the accident.

The incident closed the right lane of I-95 in the vicinity for several hours Saturday morning.
