Trooper hospitalized in 1-car crash

KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH) -- A State Trooper was taken to the hospital after a one-car crash in Killingly Saturday morning.

Police said State Trooper Kristina Vivino, 24, was traveling southbound on I-395 at the time of the crash.

Vivino was responding to a motor vehicle accident when she lost control on the wet highway and slid off the right shoulder.

Vivino crashed into a tree off the right shoulder, and was taken to Backus Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Vivino is listed in good condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
