Truck crash closed I-95 in Fairfield

    FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A fiery tractor trailer crash overnight brought traffic to a standstill on I-95 in Fairfield early Thursday.

    The crash happened just before 2:00 a.m. on the southbound lanes between Exits 19 and 18.

    All lanes were closed for a time. The highway was back open around 3:15 a.m.

    We don't know yet what caused the crash or if the driver was injured.
