TOLLAND, Conn. (WTNH) -- A section of I-84 was shut down Thursday afternoon following a tractor trailer accident.

The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m.

I-84 Westbound was initially closed between Exits 69 and 68 due to the accident involving a tractor trailer and another vehicle.

As of 2 p.m., the three left lanes remained closed on the highway.
