TOLLAND, Conn. (WTNH) -- A woman was killed early Monday when the car she was in crashed and burst into flames in Tolland.
Just before 5 a.m. Monday, police received a report of a car that had struck a telephone pole on Route 31, near house # 266, just south of the Dockerel Rd. intersection.
Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames off the right shoulder of the road.
The vehicle had rolled over after striking the telephone pole, and the driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver's identity has not yet been released.
