WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on I-91 in Windsor Thursday.
Police said 38-year-old Wady Almonte was driving in the center lane of I-91 southbound, south of Exit 38A/B, and 64-year-old Linda Christianson was driving in the left lane at the time of the accident.
For unknown reasons, Christianson veered into the center lane, striking Almonte's vehicle. Christianson's vehicle then veered to the left, into the HOV lane, and struck the Jersey barrier.
Christianson was taken to St. Francis Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Almonte was not injured in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
