NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Norwich woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened around 2:15 p.m., in the area of Harland Road and Harland Heights.
After investigating police determined that a pedestrian, 55-year-old Kathleen Maynard, of Norwich, was walking south on Harland Road when she was struck by a Ford Taurus, operated by 58-year-old Stephanie Hlastava, of Lisbon, traveling south on Harland Road.
Maynard was taken to William Backus Hospital, and was later transported via Life Star to Hartford Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
