Gas prices fall in Conn.

(WTNH) -- The average price of a gallon of gas dropped three cents in the past week, AAA reports.

Monday's average price was $4.139. A week ago the price was $4.167.

This is about the same price that drivers paid a year ago at this time, before a big drop and subsequent increase.

The price of diesel has held steady at an average $4.40 a gallon.

The highest average price for gasoline was set in July of 2008, when it hit $4.39.
