UPDATE: I-91 has been reopened.

(WTNH) -- State police have closed I-91 from Windsor to Massachusetts in both directions because of icy conditions.

The interstate was closed a little before 10:00 a.m.

Freezing rain in Northern Hartford County is adding to the woes of people trying to clean up after the blizzard.

Sanding trucks were on the way to the highway.

It is not clear when the interstate would reopen.
