One killed in I-84 crash in Tolland

(WTNH) - A single-car crash on I-84 in Tolland has left one person dead. At the same time, a truck crash in Danbury left lumber strewn across the highway.

According to Connecticut state police, the car went off I-84 between Exits 68 & 69 eastbound. The right hand lane of the interstate was closed.

Police have not yet publicly identified the victim. It's unknown why the car went off the road.

In Danbury, a truck overturned in the eastbound lanes of I-84 in the vicinity of Exit 3. State police told News Channel 8 there is lumber all over the highway.

There was no word on whether the driver was hurt.

Both incidents were expected to take up to four hours to clear.
