School bus blows tires on highway ramp

    New Haven (WTNH) - A school bus with children on board blew out two tires Friday morning and closed a highway ramp in New Haven.

    The incident happened around 7:30 and closed the Exit 47 ramp to the Route 34 Connector from I-95 North.

    The bus lost two rear tires.

    The children were taken off the bus. There was no indication anyone was hurt.

    The bus was removed and the ramp was reopened a little more than an hour later.
