HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut transportation officials say storm damage to the New Canaan branch line has been repaired and train service is resuming Tuesday.
Metro-North crews have been working to repair overhead catenary wires and clear the track of debris since Superstorm Sandy hit the state two weeks ago.
Bus service has been provided in place of train service on the New Cannan branch. Trains will run beginning Tuesday on the regular weekday schedule.
The New Canaan line carries more than 2,000 commuters daily.
