Stamford, Conn. (WTNH) - Stamford police say no one was injured this morning when a train struck a car at a crossing.
Police say it happened at 5:10 a.m. at a crossing on Riverbend Drive South near Hope Street.
According to the Stamford Advocate , the car was driven by an Advocate newspaper carrier.
Police say it's very minor. There is no gate at the crossing.
Metro-North temporarily suspended rail service on the New Canaan Branch while the collision was investigated. Beginning with the 6:21 a.m. buses were picking up passengers to Stamford.
This is the second crash involving a car and a Metro-North train at this location in the past two months.
