WOODBRIDGE, Conn. (WTNH) -- Even if folks didn’t plan for a snow day Friday, they got one.

“I was going to work and I just got a call saying I didn’t have to come in,” said Bob Mahner, of Southington.

Over at Southington’s Coffee Beans and Pralines, inches fell before noon.

Mahner’s got one wish.

“All this to go away and I dunno sunshine,” he said.

In a different town, News 8 met another Bob.

“It looks like we could use a few more plows, maybe a little less snow,” said Bob Gelineau, of Woodbridge.

At Woodbridge’s Blue Check Diner, News 8 met a plow truck driver grabbing lunch for his co-workers.

“Do you like getting everyone lunch or would you rather be out there plowing,” asked News 8’s Stephanie Simoni.

“I’d rather be at home in bed,” said Bill Grasso.

He says despite the snowfall totals this year, it’s been a bad year for business.

“I broke both of my trucks trying to plow and I gave it all up,” Grasso said. “This time I’m just plowing for my boss.”

Some are anxious for warmer weather, counting down the next 12 days.

“I’m ready for spring,” said Gelineau, “yeah, definitely had enough snow.”

Others say, let’s keep this good white stuff coming.

“I love it, I love it, keep it coming,” said Stephen Sappo laughing.
