(WTNH) - Here are the names for Atlantic Ocean storms for 2012-2017. The list of names rotates every six years, and names of devastating or catastrophic storms, such as Irene, Katrina and Andrew, are retired and replaced.

According the National Hurricane Center, if "more than 21 named tropical cyclones occur in the Atlantic basin in a season, additional storms will take names from the Greek alphabet: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and so on."
