BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch and others are urging residents and businesses affected by Superstorm Sandy to register for federal disaster help.
Finch and the Greater Bridgeport Regional Long Term Committee will host a meeting on Saturday to highlight assistance efforts. Officials are urging residents and businesses to register for Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster recovery by the Dec. 31 deadline.
The long-term committee includes representatives of city and local government, nonprofit agencies and religious organizations.
The event is set for the Disaster Recovery Center at Housatonic Community College.
