(WTNH) -- Freeze Warnings are in effect for all of Connecticut for tonight into Saturday morning.
As the coldest air-mass of the season slides southward from Canada into the Northeast, temperatures are expected to take a tumble tonight.
Temperatures are forecast to fall between 25 and 30 degrees for most of the state, although some of the immediate shoreline should expect temperatures in the range of 30 to 35 degrees.
Record lows could even be tied or broken across the state.
The cold air is forecast to cause a hard freeze, effectively ending the growing season. Any plants that are sensitive to sub-freezing temperatures should be brought inside or covered this evening.
