MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Milford residents got some of their assistance questions answered at a relief and recovery fair put together by the city.
Throughout the day Saturday people stopped by Milford's Parsons Complex Gymnasium to talk to state and federal agencies about their devastation after Sandy.
Many had questions about getting food, how to not get scammed by construction workers while their homes are being repaired, and how to get assistance from FEMA. Everyone there had a story to tell.
"My electric meter was under water, I can't turn the power back on," said Tom Rea. "Somebody's 20 by 30 foot deck slammed into my gas meter, so I had to shut my gas off. I have approximately four, four and a half feet of water inside the house. I've got to find housing."
If you live in Milford and missed this relief and recovery fair, there will be another one next Saturday from 10-4 at the gymnasium on 70 West River Street.
