NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- State police are advising Connecticut residents to heed local advisories and stay indoors and out of the way when Sandy hits Connecticut.
"Take this seriously," Lt. J. Paul Vance said in a live interview on Good Morning Connecticut. He said once people have prepared themselves they should stay indoors and off the roads.
People should stay consider any wire that comes down as extremely dangerous and they should stay away from it, he said.
Specialty vehicles have been "strategically placed" so troopers can deal with most any situation. "We've got all of our personnel available and on standby," Lt. Vance said.
"We're ready, we're prepared."
