EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- With this year's hurricane season essentially already underway, some folks in East Haven are still concerned about clean up and repair work yet to be done after Tropical Storm Irene.
After Irene demolished their roads, houses and beaches, some residents in town are concerned about a sea wall that is still in disrepair.
According to the New Haven Register there are two problem with the sea wall: one, it no longer stops the storm surge, and two, pieces of that wall are of scattered about the beach. That poses a hazard to beach goers.
The town says they need to work with the state to get it all fixed up, and that could take months.
Hurricane season officially begins June 1, but there has already been one named storm in 2012.
