NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A lot the roads around the state are really tricky tonight.
Another storm, and another round of wicked weather whipping across the state.
"I think everybody's nerves are frazzled at this point, I know mine are," said Theresa Gagliardi, of East Haven. "We just got our power back on Friday."
She says looking at packed highways, snow falling, and a low fuel tank, she had to stop.
"Everyone's saying it took them like two and half, three hours to get home," Gagliardi said.
Many cleared off cars like West Haven's Tony Lay who just got back from New York.
"It's bad down there, it's nasty," said Tony Lay, of West Haven. "I just pray for the people who don't have power. They're a lot worse than us."
Looking at slick roads and a cold night ahead. He worries about his commute to work.
"Tomorrow morning I might have to use ice skates to get to work," Lay said.
"Are you a good ice skater," asked News 8's Stephanie Simoni.
"No, bad ice skater," Lay said laughing.
While he might rely on skates, others are using elbow grease.
"I just shoveled this whole block and so hopefully we can get out tomorrow morning, but we'll see if it does more," one man said.
He was smiling because it's the first snow for him in a while.
"I like the snow, I just moved from Arizona," he said. "This is definitely, it's fun.
"So you're still in the honeymoon phase," said Simoni.
"Yeah, in the honeymoon phase."
Just like young Rashawn and his first snowball of the season.
"You gotta rub it into a ball," Rashawn said.
