(WTNH) -- With one more high tide cycle still to go, News 8's Jeff Valin is watching the water recede in Bridgeport. This is his report from 1:10 a.m.
Sustained winds were still greater than 30 miles per hour early in the morning.
More than 39,000 people were without power. Two substations had to be turned off to protect them from damage.
Jeff reports three of the four shelters in the city still have space available, including room for family pets.
