(WTNH) - People in parts of Connecticut woke up to a couple inches of snow on the ground Friday, while others found little to nothing, but there's more on the way this weekend for everyone.
A few schools put in delays of up to two hours and canceled morning kindergarten.
Three inches of snow was measured in Baltic and Brooklyn, more than two in Moosup. A Report It picture sent in by Linda & Paul said "Looks like maybe 2 inches in Prospect."
Roads and sidewalks were slick, and there have been isolated spinouts on the roads, including one car that went off I-91 in Wallingford. No injuries were reported.
The next wave of snow is expected to arrive around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, and bring several more inches of snow statewide.
Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons expects there to be 4-6 inches of snow Saturday.
"I think it's a 12 hour shot of a little snow," Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, ending around 1:00 p.m. in Western Connecticut, 3:00 p.m in Eastern Connecticut.
