Making for slippery road conditions

(WTNH) -- The snow always creates a tale of two cities -- those who get to play think it's the best of times, and it's the worst of times for folks who have to drive in it.

Traffic was crawling on I-95 Saturday evening as the snow continued to fall. Many people spent their day trying to keep up with it shoveling, clearing off cars.

Tyler Vendituoli from Burlington, Vermont, was traveling though Connecticut, trying to make is way down to Manhattan in time for the ball the drop.

"We left at 10:30 this morning, so we've been sort of crawling at 45 since then," he said. The roads are "pretty slick, but it's been OK so far."

Others just wanted to enjoy the snow and play in it, including Joe Ojeda of New Haven and his dog Rocky.
