BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Bridgeport residents will get the chance tonight to let city leaders know how they feel about city's efforts during the Blizzard of 2013.

At tonight's city council meeting, Mayor Bill Finch has called for the public speaking time to be extended between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.

Residents are complaining it took the city took too long to clear roads of 30 inches of snow. Seven days after the Blizzard all streets were passable.

But News 8 is finding many sidewalks are still not shoveled because the city is not enforcing a rule requiring sidewalks to be cleared 48 hours after a storm.

A former mayoral candidate is using social media to encourage folks to vent their frustrations.

A spokesperson for Mayor Bill Finch released a statement that basically said the mayor understands and will be reviewing the city's response to see how city can improve.
